Looks like HAL is not picking up the correct "change" events for the device and
probes the content again. The size=0 looks like the result of probing a the
temporary dm setup, where the content of the disk is not available yet.
But the udev events look right, and also carry the correct information:

Unfortunately, I can not reproduce the failure here, so I have no idea where to
look for the failure. My LUKS test volume works fine here.
According to the logs, it looks like a bug in HAL, where the (correct looking)
stream of "change" events does not lead to the correct update of the device
representation in HAL.
