I deleted my 8 Gig swap partition, and repartitioned it to 2 - 1 Gig partitions
and the backup from the remote system is now working.
I do not understand why? is having a swap partition > 2 Gig an issue on a
32-bit version of SuSE.
fdisk -l /dev/sde
Disk /dev/sde: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x0007a116
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
