just for my record: There are following problems:
1) how to create a compressed min sized btrfs from a source tree
currently it's hard to determine the size requirements prior
to the creation of the filesystem. in most cases the kiwi calculated
size is too small. Compression support in btrfs is a filesystem attribute
this means you can e.g mount the filesystem with zlib compression and
everything you put there is compressed. But you don't know prior to this
action how much space on the block layer (loop setup file) you need
It would be great if mkfs.btrfs could take a root tree and create a
a file which one can loop mount afterwards. By now you need a block
device of a specific size. If this is a loop device which should be
just of the size required to store the data it's hard to calculate
that value
