Error info: Kernel Panic - Not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupt in: <Memory address> If I boot with ACPI=off I'm able to start the installer and/or live system. (Have tried both) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. On the Acer Ferrari laptop, boot the live cd or the install dvd 2. Just hit enter from the boot menu to get the system booting and it will fail during the WMI extras. Actual Results: The boot process hangs with above specified error message and I'm not able to successfully boot the installer/live system. Expected Results: The system boots and starts live system or installer.
