YaST2 Firstboot should only start if /var/lib/YaST2/reconfig_system exists.
I have no idea why SuSEfirewall2 would still take so long. One guess would be
module loading. Try
echo ip_tables >> /etc/modules-load.d/iptables.conf
echo nf_conntrack >> /etc/modules-load.d/iptables.conf
Then you should see the module loading time not accounted to sfw2. If that
doesn't help either you could try adding some "echo $LINENO $SECOND" to
/sbin/SuSEfirewall2 to find out where all the time is spent. Search for "main
mode" to get to the point where the main script action stats. From there on
everything is in functions.
