No, you don't understand me.
I tried both with yast repositories and manual rpm creation (as you explain
above) and in both case it did the same problem with SaX with the message
mentionned before.
I didn't try to enable 3D, I just changed monitor frequency from 60 to 75Hz
before testing.
Last time I did it was this way :
* download driver
* run ati-driver-installer-8.40.4-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg SuSE/SUSE102-AMD64
* install the created RPM
* edit /etc/ld.so.conf to add "/usr/lib64/fglrx/lib" at the begining.
* then type as root
#CODE
#ldconfig
#CODE
#aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
* then I checked that in xorg.conf in section "modules" there was the
"directive" load "dri" and in "device" that there was Driver "fglrx". These
were the case.
* Finally I reboot and it worked.
