https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439725 Summary: Partitioning is tricky during installation of opensuse 11.1 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: romain.pelissier@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Even if it's a nice change I found the partitioning tool during the installation quite complex and not so easy to use. Can it be change at this stage of development? Instead of using this method, maybe a classic 'gparted' view of the disk and some action icons on the different partition could do the trick more easily (I can send you some ideas if you like) and a status window a the bottom could display what are the current settings. ex: disc1 !======!==================! ! 1 ! 2 ! !======!==================! disc2 !========================! ! 1 ! !========================! Some icons could be displayed in each partitions to setup them (format and mount point) and using some colors to displayed the changes... and also a status window at the bottom that display in real time what actions are going to be taken by the installer based on the user changes. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
