--- Comment #13 from theo opitz 2010-10-06 02:49:33 UTC ---
-- started fresh install on a desktop
own physical internal hard drive of 298 GB
(i had opensuse 11.2 installed on this machine without problems ... when i
tried to upgrade, i started running into this problem)
partitions:
20G swap
150G root
128G home
-- setup for install went smooth, but now at the installation settings, under
booting is the warning:
“ Bootloader is installed on a partition that does not lie entirely below 128
GB. The system might not boot."
-- no matter how i change the settings, the warning remains:
bootloader type: grub
status location: /dev/sda (or sdb) (MBR)
change location: boot from MBR (enabled or disabled)
boot from "/" partition (enabled or disabled)
-- i shall continue with installation set for 'boot from MBR enabled' and 'boot
from root partition disabled',
-- doing default system install (no changes to software selection)
-- partition formatting, and package installation appears to proceed normally
-- finished package installation, screen went black, only way to get back in is
to push and hold on-button
-- system will boot into win7
how do i get into the log? ... theo
