Currently I don't have openSUSE 11.4 system with KDE running
but on my openSUSE 11.3 system the current yast2-printer-2.20.8
(installed from the openSUSE build service project YaST:Head)
the Tree widget works for me for all UIs via
# yast2 --qt printer
# yast2 --gtk printer
# yast printer
Therefore it is no bug in yast2-printer - it only calls
the Tree widget via YCP code.
The root cause is probably somewhere in the particular UI.
But I have no knowledge about the UIs so that I cannot debug
the issue any further.
The YCP code in yast2-printer which calls the Tree widget is in
/usr/share/YaST2/include/printer/driveroptions.ycp
