https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227361 Summary: totem-mozilla-viewer should be packaged in totem-plugin, not totem Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de QAContact: qa@suse.de The totem-mozilla-viewer executable is built only if the totem browser plugin is enabled, and only ever used by the browser plugin. Therefore its most logical place is the totem-plugin subpackage and not the totem main package. Moving the file from totem to totem-plugin also protects against problems in case the libexecdir is ever changed. The only place where it is being hard-coded is ./browser-plugin/totemPlugin.cpp, which gets linked into the plugin libraries only and not into the main executable. Keeping these (the plugins and the totem-mozilla-viewer executable) together makes sure that they always match. I've checked the spec files of Fedora, Mandriva, ALTLinux and PLD and they are all packaging totem-mozilla-viewer in the plugin subpackage. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
