I know. But that's based on the result I have. There's one laptop that could exactly reproduce the problem described in comment#1 and using openSUSE 12.3 and SLE11 SP3 installation did not observe any problem. I did not go that far to test the (loader+kernel) combination you've done, probably would come to same conclusion with yours. Anyway let's try sort this one out first.
