I am experiencing the invisible mouse cursor too. For me it's when I have my
laptop docked and try set the external screen resolution using display settings
in KDE4.
As soon as I apply the new resolution my cursor goes invisible. The only way
I've found to restore it is to open a terminal and start systemsettings as su.
As soon as system settings window loads the cursor becomes visible again.
So in my case it has nothing to do with screen rotation but a simple screen
resolution change.
I have a intel 945GM graphic card in my Thinkpad X60s, running 11.2 with
KDE4.3.4
