Instead I got a new empty uncrypted home directory. The reason is, that after the update the lines for pam_mount were missing in the /etc/pam.d configuration files. As the directory was still in /etc/security/pam_mount.conf.xml, I could not repair this with YaST. First I have changed my directory to uncrypted with YaST. Fortunately I have made a backup off my image file before. YaST has mounted my crypted home directory and copied my files into /tmp, which was smaller than my crypted home directory. This time the free place was sufficient for the files in my home directory, so I let it work. After copying a long while, YaST stated, that the loop device could not be removed. My files were not in a new uncrypted home directory but still residing under /tmp. Then I have removed the configuration for my crypted home directory from /etc/security/pam_mount.conf.xml. This time I could re-enable the crypted home in YaST. It created a new empty image and set up the /etc/pam.d files. After moving my original image and key file to the right place I could login again and got my crypted home directory. I do believe, a normal user would have a good chance to loose his/her files during the update. Therefore I consider this bug to be critical. Has anyone tested the update with a crypted home directory (before me)? Unmounting does also not work, see bug #461333. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
