--- Comment #36 from Sam Simmons 2010-08-22 23:24:58 UTC ---
Ok, sorry this has taken so long. On startup with no battery power the pops
occurred consistently with the following messages:
[ 60.002049] XXX ops.suspend
[ 70.004044] XXX hda_cleanup_all_streams
[ 80.004283] XXX hda_set_power D3
Above is the first time I could get to a term and see the message. It popped on
startup and popped again on what I'm certain was set_power D3. Then the
following shows up soon after without any pops.
[ 90.106749] XXX update_power_acct
When I change the volume the first time I get a pop
[ 99.242095] XXX hda_set_power D0
Intermittent message
[ 109.254080] XXX restore_pincfgs
Then second pop as usual after power save delay
[ 119.255082] XXX restore_shutup_pins
Letting it sit for a while would produce the same output as startup
(pop) [ 630.498325] XXX ops.suspend
(delay) [ 640.499071] XXX hda_cleanup_all_streams
(pop) [ 650.500072] XXX hda_set_power D3
(delay) [ 660.602100] XXX update_power_acct
And starting up the sound would do the D0/shutup_pins pops again.
So, it seemed to be pretty consistent. Incidentally, it's only doing single
pops now in all cases.
