http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=547751 Summary: First run of yast2 software-management/zypper inr tries to install large number of 32-bit libraries Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: badshah400@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-3.2 Firefox/3.5.3 Fresh RC1 installation from live gnome x86_64. As soon as I start yast software management for the first time, or enter the zypper inr command on the terminal it already selects/shows a large number of packages to install. A big share of this installation is a lots of 32-bit compatibility packages (package names ending in 32-bit). This results in a download of about 510 MiB. It is necessary to reduce the number of recommended 32-bit libraries so that this post-installation download is considerably smaller. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.zypper inr 2. 3. Actual Results: ~510 MiB to download, a large number of packages with names ending in 32-bit. Expected Results: Live-cd should be a self-sufficient system, not requiring a large bulk ok download after installation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
