Yes, if I *don't* use the precomiled RPMS from the ATI Repository, I have to run fglrx-kernel-build.sh after every kernel update. Even if it is a minor update where the kABI shouldn't have changed.
This is what I've said. I'll make sure the precompiled RPMs for openSUSE 10.3 in the ATI repository are up-to-date.
If I don't run this script, X still works, but causes permanently 100% cpu load. So it does make sense to use the kernel module. :-)
