Could it be, that there is another problem between systemd and rsyslogd?
I`ve added your changes to my local files at Nov 7, make a
'sysctl restart syslog.service', looks good at this moment
But after the systemboot today, yesterday i didn't take a look to this problem,
the /etc/rsyslog.early.conf is used again.
I'm going back to the original syslog-service-generator from Oct 28, make a
'sysctl restart syslog.service', /etc/rsyslog.early.conf is used.
I change now the the line from my first post, make sysctl restart
syslog.service, /etc/rsyslog.early.conf is used.
Oops ;-)
Then i restart my system (reboot) and after that /etc/rsyslog.conf is used.
And the bootmessages are in /var/log/messages, so i think after boot
/etc/rsyslog.early.conf is used for a short time.
FYI: I uninstall rsyslog and install syslog-ng for testing before the reboot
and the changes to syslog-service-generator and make a 'sysctl restart
syslog.service', but the systemd wants to use the noexisting rsyslogd, too.
In the /etc/sysconfig syslog is set to syslog-ng by yast, but this is ignored.
For me it is a little difficult to make a better description, because english
is not my native language ;-)
