The update alternatives were Peter Nixon's, I'm not familiar with the way they
are installed, I originally had a mysql only bacula. Users have installed and
then corrected the imperfections themselves.
Neither Peter nor myself could get the alternatives to install without rpmlint
warnings and trial and error didn't work but now I have a clue insofar as too
many files are being installed. I understand from this bug that the zero length
files aren't necessary? I have time available to look at this atm and I
consider it as an important part of my packaging knowledge so I'll look at
other packages that use alternatives and see if I can't find a helpful web
page.
If this is fixed it will be easy to add the other db flavours of bacula to the
package. The sub package layout seems good and matches the bacula documentation
of the different parts of the bacula backup system. I don't have the resources
to test the end result but hopefully the reporter can.
Are the zero length files necessary?
