to clarify. Some months ago, I could use suspend2ram without problems. However,
waking up didn't work.
Now there seems to be some changes that causes the suspend2ram not to work due
to an "unknown machine". So, as per your request, I execute it with the -f
option and now the same happens as some months ago: it goes into ram, and when
woken up, it starts up completely, except that there is no display.
I can blind type /sbin/halt' or whatever. remote login also works. The laptop
just doesn't show any display which seems to be backlight related. Not 100%
sure if that's the problem. The display stays black/dark.
And yes, both talks were interesting.
