https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803529 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803529#c0 Summary: 'zypper dup' hangs at arbitrary(?) packages on Installing......100%[/] Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: me@kalenz.eu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=524471) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=524471) extract from /var/log/zypper Fully updated openSUSE 12.2. Removed all 12.2 repositories, added the 12.3RC1 ISO file as a new repository. init 3 zypper dup This hangs after completing installation of each of these packages: avahi, rtkit, libpango. Installing.................100%[-] {frozen} --> key [ctrl+C] warning: %post(libpango-1_0-0-32bit-1.32.5-3.1.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 1 (Abort/Retry/Ignore?) --> key [r] [enter] --> immediately carries on, everything seems ok Second time it hangs, ctrl+c triggers "OK! OK! Exiting immediately..." --> go again 'zypper dup' and installation continues. I'm enclosing a /var/log/zypp extract; warnings at line 3214, 9896, 10871. This may or may not be related to Bug 773575, I don't know. On a side note, IMHO, the second time zypper hangs, ctrl+c should not go straight to "OK! OK!"/quit. Only on repeated key ctrl+C+C. While anyone is looking at the log file, have a look at the many many "fontconfig warning"s; I have no idea if these are important, but something seems to be wrong there(?). Sorry I'm obviously no expert on any of this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
