--- Comment #6 from Richard Ems 2010-01-12 15:31:51 UTC ---
1. debug was already enabled in /etc/sysconfig/autofs.
See next attachment. The logging in /var/log/messages changed a lot from 11.1
to 11.2, so I am still trying to understand the logging, where the machine
started and when it stopped ...
But if I see I the right way, when autofs shutdows cleanly, then I see
"automount[xxxxx]: autofs stopped".
When the machine hangs I see as last autofs message "automount[xxxxx]:
st_shutdown: state 5 path /net".
See next attachment.
2. Checking the RPM DB I see only 3 packages installed from the filesystems
repository:
# rpm -qai | egrep "^Name[ ]*:|^Distribution:" | grep -B1
"^Distribution:.*filesystem.*"
Name : xfsprogs Relocations: (not relocatable)
Distribution: filesystems / openSUSE_11.2
--
Name : autofs Relocations: (not relocatable)
Distribution: filesystems / openSUSE_11.2
--
Name : xfsdump Relocations: (not relocatable)
Distribution: filesystems / openSUSE_11.2
I don't think that the updated xfs* packages can do any hurt, but if you want
me to reinstall the original 11.2 ones I'll do it.
