Yes, the "https" is a bug and that something you entered gets lost when going
back is also a bug. I will have a look at it.
Do I understand you correct:
if you enter the URL correct and your ldap server listens on the correct port
you still got an error?
In the initial comment you attached a logfile where I find:
2007-11-11 11:23:11 <1> kerberos(26481) [-e] Command:
/usr/lib/mit/sbin/kdb5_ldap_util -D cn=Administrator,dc=george,dc=in-dsl,dc=de
-H ldaps://127.0.0.1 create -sf /var/lib/kerberos/krb5kdc/.k5.GEORGE.IN-DSL.DE
-s -r GEORGE.IN-DSL.DE
2007-11-11 11:23:11 <3> kerberos(26481) [-e] Error during kdb5_ldap_util call:
kdb5_ldap_util: Can't contact LDAP server while initializing database
Well, "Can't contact LDAP server" sounds like nobody is listening on the port
where the tool tries to connect.
Or did you get a different error message now?
