https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=354390 Summary: Installation on multi-terabyte systems should use GPT and LILO Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: geoff@cs.hmc.edu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer When installing on systems with root disks larger then 2 terabytes, a GPT partition table should be created. In addition, unless Grub 2 is included in the distribution, the boot loader should be set to LILO with an appropriately small /boot to hold the kernel. Currently, the user must be savvy enough to create a GPT partition table using the rescue system, and then must hand-select and hand-configure LILO. Otherwise, only the first 2 TB of the disk is available. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
