https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=660594 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=660594#c0 Summary: Suspend Ram Screen Corruption Virtual Console, Inspiron 531 with Radeon HD 4650 (RV730) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rob.opensuse.linux@googlemail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 SUSE/3.6.13-3.1 Firefox/3.6.13 Unfortunately 11.3 and 11.4 M5 show screen corruption, even booting to run level 3 on Suspend to RAM. After resuming the letters in some display columns appear to be doubled. Same machine as in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=555821 where Suspend RAM/Disk was got to work with 11.2. As graphical runlevel not reached, I presume this is a kernel issue and not an Xorg Radeon driver bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot to run level 3 2.Suspend on Virtual console with "powersave -u" 3.Resume system by pushing flashing power button on case Actual Results: Corrupt display, affecting certain columns of new lines on virtual console. Expected Results: Perfect resumption, like in OS11.1 or OS11.2 with configuration change workround found in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=555821 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
