https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=482566 Summary: YaST2 Samba Module Expert Global Settings Does Not Allow Changes to Security or Domain Logins Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: asimonelli@acacorp.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=277469) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=277469) This is my YaST2 Log User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.6 When in the Expert Global Settings of the YaST Samba Module, trying to change the 'security' entry from users to domain (or the other way around) does not work. The 'domain logins' entry cannot be changed as well. Highlighting the entry and clicking the edit button does bring up a box for the value and the changed value is then displayed. But after pressing OK to go back to the Identy tab, returning to the Expert Global Settings reveils that the value was indeed NOT changed. It must have something to do with other settings found Start-Up, Shares, and Identity tabs preventing it from changing Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In YaST2 Samba Module, under the Identity Tab, click on the Advanced Settings button and select Expert Global Settings 2. Select the 'security' entry from the list and press the Edit Button 3. Type the new value in the box that appears, press OK, and OK to the Expert Global Settings box. 4. Go back into the Expert Global Settings and it will show that the value has not changed. Actual Results: The value of the 'security' or the 'domain logins' entries do not change their values. Expected Results: The value changes should have been retained and the smb.conf file should have been updated. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
