https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228452 Summary: No Sound and error during boot Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: dchesmore@mcleodusa.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I have a gateway mx6454 laptop. It has sigmatel 9250 sound chip. The problem is after fresh install from 10.1 (which had the same issue) it has an error during boot. <4>ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_codec.c:212: hda_codec: invalid dep_range_val 0:7fff <7>ALSA sound/pci/hda/hda_intel.c:590: hda-intel: get_response timeout: IRS=0x0 It shows up as an ATI sound but not sure why. Either way it does not work. There is one point better about 10.2 than 10.1: kmixer detects something there but it does not work.
