Ok, looking into dmesg:
[ 4418.973892] thinkpad_acpi: Please remove the hotkey=enable module parameter,
it is deprecated. Hotkeys are always enabled
[ 4418.973905] thinkpad_acpi: setting the hotkey mask to 0x00ffffff is likely
not the best way to go about it
[ 4418.973913] thinkpad_acpi: please consider using the driver defaults, and
refer to up-to-date thinkpad-acpi documentation
Excerpt from thinkpad-acpi documentation:
hotkey_recommended_mask:
bit mask that should enable event reporting for all
supported hot keys, except those which are always
handled by the firmware anyway. Echo it to
hotkey_mask above, to use.
Output on my system:
zuckerdose:/sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi # cat hotkey_recommended_mask
0x038c7fff
zuckerdose:/sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi # cat hotkey_mask
0x00ffffff
So maybe using defaults might be better as it is activly maintained?
