The aim if to be able to use one systemd service file for syslog service or
target and be able to switch on the fly between three syslog daemons, that is
syslogd, syslog-ng, and rsyslog simply by changing SYSLOG_DAEMON in
/etc/sysconfig/syslog. This was a major feature of SLES and it had worked
flawless with SysVinit. Only with systemd there are problems with such a
requirement.
Maybe there is an other way to do this, e.g. with the help of a symbolic link.
Or maybe systemd-195+ has some other new features now breaking the output of
the generator script but be usable to switch on the fly between several
syslogger with their different needs and approaches.
