Jeff, Please assign priority. The bug IS serious as there is currently no
benefit for any-one to install more than 1GB RAM as it is never used - its
shows very very poor memory management - 1 of the greatest strengths of the
Kernel. If the current Kernel cannot address more than 1GB RAM, as an O/S we
have failed. Limitation on our ability to address RAM makes us no better than
DOS with its old memory managers.
A new kernel has been released while this bug has remain as NEW. Caching
algorithms of Novell Netware are far superior to the current Linux Kernel.
With respect I cannot understand why this bug remain unassigned and without
priority.
