I've got a similar issue after upgrading my office desktop from 13.2 to 42.1.
None of the font settings from 13.2 (see
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=904015) got carried over to 42.1.
Font names, sizes, dpi - all got reset.
After a lot of fiddling, I managed to get KDE apps to look as before. No joy
however with Gnome/Gtk apps which appear not to use the same dpi/antialiasing
settings as KDE apps. Managed to get Mozilla, Thunderbird, Libreoffice and
Chrome use the same font rendering as in KDE apps by increasing the font size
in $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0 by 3pt (which in 13.2 was the same as in KDE's
systemsettings).
However, none of the above has any effect on Eclipse (Mars release). Tweaking
font sizes via gnome-tweak-tool has no effect what so ever.
Sorry about the rant.
