https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=393055 Summary: updated & USB broke ... Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mmeeks@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I just installed: kernel-default-2.6.25.4-2 (latest public factory package). rpm changelog is: * Fri May 16 2008 gregkh@suse.de - Update config files .. I boot it with no kernel parameters at all (apparently what was chosen for me), and my USB mouse no longer works: it did before I upgraded (needless to say). the mouse is plugged into a monitor, then into the machine itself. Sadly plugging it directly into the machine yields no improvement, neither does un-plugging the monitor change the lsusb output which is this: $ lsusb -t /: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ohci_hcd/3p, 12M /: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ohci_hcd/3p, 12M my USB printer is also plugged in, as it was last night - and is not (apparently) visible either. Hot plugging devices has no apparent effect. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
