https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=425437 Summary: GDM init script prevents subsequent system services to start Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rodrigo@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- After updating to latest FACTORY, GDM starts correctly, but lots of services did not. Right after login in, no sshd, no virtual terminals and no network. When pressing CTRL-ALT-F1 for going to a virtual terminal, I just see the GDM debug output, but no login prompt. On the other virtual terminals, just an empty black screen. Replacing gdm with xdm in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager got the boot sequence right, so it seems it's GDM's fault, maybe its init script not returning? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
