Weird, for example OSYS is used exactly the same way:
- declaration in same Operation Region
- Used as global var: "OSYS"
- Used with absolute namepath: "\_SB.OSYS" (even also in the same func _Q51)
-> works.
Wait OSYS is declared twice:
Scope (\_SB)
{
OperationRegion (SNVS, SystemMemory, 0x7F5C0C7D, 0x000000FF)
Field (SNVS, AnyAcc, NoLock, Preserve)
{
...
OSYS, 16,
...
}
}
And VCRV is only declared in the global namespace:
OperationRegion (GNVS, SystemMemory, 0x7F5C0D7C, 0x0100)
Field (GNVS, AnyAcc, Lock, Preserve)
{
OSYS, 16,
...
VDRV, 8
}
-> \_SB.VDRV does not exist.
Either this variable should also get declared in SNVS Operation Region (sitting
in _SB namespace) or in _Q51 simply VDRV (without \_SB.) has to be used.
Did this ever work?
This looks like a BIOS bug.
If I do not get sidetracked I may have some time to look at ACPI table
overriding again. This would now be perfect to give it a quick try with a fixed
table.
Anyway, can you also attach dmidecode, maybe we have contacts to the BIOS
people of this platform and can tell them that something is broken there.
Hm, I have my doubts whether it's really that. This part is at the rather end
of _QXX functions. The rest at the beginning should have been executed without
errors (afaik).
Please stay tuned. If I really should be able to finish proper ACPI tabe
overriding via initrd, I can give you something to try.
