Michael: I did a "new" install to the same partition using X64 version of M2
DVD, and selected "minimal-X" install. Once again, before installation I
deselected the boxes to make the partition bootable, and to backup MBR. Same
error occurred at same spot in process. Content of the log file from the
command you requested is one line only:
bash: /usr/bin/grub2-install: No such file or directory
I saved the whole /var/log directory into my production 12.2 system partition,
right after the install process crapped out and went into reboot, so I can
forward any (pure) file(s) that you wish from that install process. A tar/gzip
version of the whole log directory would be about 435k.
