https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=228707 cus@fazekas.hu changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |cus@fazekas.hu ------- Comment #5 from cus@fazekas.hu 2006-12-28 13:48 MST ------- I am experiencing the same problem, on a HP Proliant ML330 with a Smart Array SCSI controller. This controller uses the cciss driver, the device files are: /dev/cciss/c0d0 (this is the first (logical) disc) /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 (parition 1) . and so on. According to y2log, despite the error message, parted can read the partition table, but yast2 is unable to use it, because it expects the partitions as /dev/cciss/1, /dev/cciss/2, and so on. Relevant y2log lines: [libstorage] Storage.cc(getContainers):3923 co:Type:DISK Name:cciss/ Device:/dev/cciss/c0d0 Vcnt:0 readonly I think the disk name should be cciss/c0d0 here. And now the y2log just before the error popup: [libstorage] ProcPart.cc(getSize):56 dev:/dev/cciss/c0d0p9 ret:1 Size:111081411 [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedOutput):752 nm:cciss/ [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedValid):811 regex cciss/[0-9]+ ps <> [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedValid):822 proc :<> [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedValid):823 parted:<1:3 2:1306 3:523 5:131 6:262 7:1306 8:487 [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedValid):897 haveBsd:0 pr.size:0 pa.size:8 [libstorage] Disk.cc(checkPartedValid):898 ret:0 The regexp is probably bad in line 2, it should be cciss/c0d0p[0-9]+ instead of cciss/[0-9]+ Once this bug is fixed, some remastered iso files would be very welcome, or at least an easy way to install OpenSuSE to a cciss partition. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
