http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=545992 Summary: Sonar: Impossible to distinguish between enabled and disabled menu-items Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 8 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: badshah400@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=321937) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=321937) M8+ menu on left vs pre-M8 on the right User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-135.2 Firefox/3.5.3 Since Milestone 8 I have been finding it very difficult to distinguish between enabled and disabled items on the menu. I understand that this change was made to improve readability of disabled items. However as a result of this change, it is now extremely difficult to work with applications such as gimp, etc. because of the difficulty in distinguishing between enabled and disabled items in the menu. Finally, it gives you sore eyes from having to concentrate too hard for too long to understand if an item in the menu is disabled :) Inactive items are not so important that they have to be of an almost-similar colour with active items. Please revert to the earlier colour configuration. If you look at the image in the attachment, you will instantly recognise the disabled items in the right menu, but it is not so clear at a glance in the left menu.
