In addition using kmix: mute brings some strange effect: after selecting mute it is choosen in the menu, but the icon on the panel stays the same. Even the sound does still work. If change the Volume (with kmix or button) the icon on the panel is marked as mute, still the sound works. The icon only changes by unmute the kmix menu and change volume.
