--- Comment #108 from Israel smilanski 2010-07-07 09:17:24 UTC ---
first system:
/dev/sda2 on / type ext4 (rw,acl,user_xattr)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw)
devtmpfs on /dev type devtmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,mode=1777)

/dev/mapper/nvidia_fajhbfec_part1 on /home type xfs (rw)
fusectl on /sys/fs/fuse/connections type fusectl (rw)
securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw)
none on /proc/fs/vmblock/mountPoint type vmblock (rw)

second system (on the same machine):
luli-e@paziz:~> mount
/dev/mapper/nvidia_fajhbfec_part2 on / type ext4 (rw,acl,user_xattr)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw)
devtmpfs on /dev type devtmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,mode=1777)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620,gid=5)
/dev/sda8 on /boot type ext3 (rw,acl,user_xattr)
/dev/mapper/nvidia_fajhbfec_part1 on /home type xfs (rw)
fusectl on /sys/fs/fuse/connections type fusectl (rw)
securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw)
none on /proc/fs/vmblock/mountPoint type vmblock (rw)
exactly the same behavior.
Hoever, if I edit /etc/init.d/boot.udev and change udev_timeout=180 to 5, I get
this:
[ 7.143457] ieee1394: Host added: ID:BUS[0-00:1023] GUID[cf0a00000000028d]
[ 7.210243] ieee1394: Host added: ID:BUS[1-00:1023] GUID[001e8c000189e2ba]
[ 12.835361] Adding 5245184k swap on /dev/sda6. Priority:-1 extents:1
across:5245184k
[ 74.579268] device-mapper: ioctl: device doesn't appear to be in the dev
hash table.
[ 74.932999] loop: module loaded
here the 60 sec time out is due to boot.lvm
I have to emphsize that this does not happen on every machine. In another
machine using similiar but different motherboard and cpu, booy-up is smooth.
