To do this, I used Evolution's "Save Settings / Sestore settings". Importing the data on openSUSE works, but after that, I am unable to access the address book. Instead a dialog box opens telling me that the address book cannot be loaded and that I should check the file permissions of ".evolution/addressbook/local/system". As can be seen from the attached output of "evolution-data-server", the real cause of this problem is that the imported address book uses a different db format. Obviously, the Ubuntu version of Evolution uses a different - and incompatible - version of Berkeley DB (?) that the openSUSE version.
