Stefan Dirsch
One thing I noticed is that the fglrx packages in the ATI Repository seem to >be build against Kernel 2.6.22.13 whereas the most resent kernel for openSUSE >10.3 seems to be version 2.6.22.12. This is no problem, since these are kABI compatible and we use some magic in %post of our -kmp and kernel packages to create symlinks to kABI compatible kernel modules.
/lib/modules/2.6.22.12-0.1-default/weak-updates/fglrx.ko -> /lib/modules/2.6.22.13-0.2-default/updates/fglrx.ko
Calling /usr/bin/fglrx-kernel-build.sh fails with the error: line 30: pushd: /usr/src/kernel-modules/fglrx: File or Directory not found This script has become useless, but it's not required anyway as long as our kernel (updates) remains kABI compatible. It will be removed for the next update.
