Manually I can set it modifying the value in /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness. But the kernel is also exporting "/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness", which has no effect whatsoever. I guess KDE is trying to use acpi_video0. I am no expert on this.
