I've added a patch to our kdebase4-runtime package in KDE:Distro:Stable that
prevents the index for the email completion search crashing. Please update
your kde packages using that repo.
Additionally, it may be necessary to ensure that your KMail is still configured
to see the correct address books, since in KDE 4.4 KMail is not yet ported to
the Akonadi framework used by KAddressBook.
To check this
1) Open System Settings' KDE Resources page, and go to the Contacts view
2) Note what active contact resources exist
3) Open KAddressBook and compare the address books registered there.
If KAddressBook has address books that KMail cannot see, these cannot be used
for address completion. The simplest solution is to add an Akonadi Addressbook
to the KDE Resources configuration, make it 'standard' and remove any contact
resources that duplicate addressbooks configured in KAddressbook, since these
are accessible via Akonadi. This won't work for GroupWise address books,
however.
