https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=245319 Summary: Bluetooth file transfer problems Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 0plus Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: behlert@novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Not sure where to put this as bluetooth-utils and gnome-bluetooth are affected, I think Mobile Devices isn't a bad category for this issue. When setting up bluetooth there are two instances for file transfer: 1. YaST/Hardware/Bluetooth/Advanced Daemon Configuration/OPD ( File transfer services ) 2. Computer/More Applications/System/Bluetooth File Sharing When 1.) is enabled, file transfer from an external device is unconditionally ( no pairing required ) and files end up in /var/lib/bluetooth/opd When 2.) is enabled a small icon appears in the task bar and file transfers from an external device are challenged by pairing, if accepted, files are transferred to the desktop. When both are enabled 1) always takes over and renders 2) completely useless. Apart from that, it would make sense to integrate the two task bar icons for Bluetooth File Sharing (gnome) and Bluetooth Applet (gnome) into one for clarity. Also the control for file transfer could be moved from the Application Menu to the Bluetooth Applet icon. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
