I am having this problem also. I previously had this problem which I think was
submitted as an ntp problem [Bug 245712]. I am losing about 5 mins an hour at
least. Previously it was put down to a kernel problem, rebooted under the new
kernel and it fixed it. However the kernel has changed again since. Start of
June? And I think this is when it started again, as I had not noticed
immediately. Definitely think it is kernel related. I am running 10.2 x86_64
default kernel 2.6.18.8-0.3-default #1 SMP Tue Apr 17 08:42:35 UTC 2007 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.
I will attach an hwinfo. I have a shiny new HP Core 2 Duo workstation,
colleagues here also running 10.2 have not noticed the same clock problem.
And as an aside, since this is free software and "open" as the opensuse
suggests I cant understand Mr Wells comments, I am happy to do some debugging
to help the "open" community. I admin other systems and even with pay for
maintenance you need to send diagnostic information. Thanks for your efforts.
