Could you attach a complete patch instead? The reference you gave seems to be a diff to an already existing patch. :-(
Hi Stefan This enabling of EXA not only slows down the performance for 945 users, It also considerably slows down the performance of Intel 965 users like me. The issues are -- Fully screen video playback is not perfect, Frame rate is not acceptable. -- Scrolling in Firefox is considerably slow. But the point is, Disabling Compiz might improve the performance when EXA enabled. But it is not acceptable as, Compiz is now become very much a necessity. Even enabling KDE 4 Compositing slows down the performance noticeably. So i suggest reassign this bug report for Intel 965 IGP users too. If possible implement the XV overlay for Intel 965 IGP users too. If XV overlay is not implementable for Intel 965 IGP, i suggest please provide latest Intel drivers that might improve performance. As in XV, i am unable to use my webcam built into my Laptop. Or At least add support for Intel Batch driver argument, as it highly speeds up the performance for Ubuntu users litterally equaling to XAA. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
