ok, i have tried some more, and with different PC which shows the same
behaviour. there is win2000 installed and the pc already several OS installs
without a problem.
now trying suse and it fails....
here is a more complete list with suse distros i tested.
it`s a little bit inconsistent, but may give valuable information.
i have added Isolinux version, which is shown at boot.
maybe it`s related....
these distro`s boot without a problem:
8.1 Prof.
8.2 Prof. - Isolinux 1.62
9.0 Prof. - Isolinux 2.06
9.3 Prof.
10.0 Prof - Isolinux 2.11
these distros show the blinking-cursor-problem:
9.1 Prof.
9.2 Prof. - Isolinux 2.11 , edd=off doesn`t help
SLES9
OpenSuSE 10.1 - Isolinux 3.11 , edd=off helps
OpenSuSE 10.2
OpenSuSE 10.3
OpenSuSE 11.0 (alpha) - Isolinux 3.31 , edd=off helps
grub issue ?
forget about that. when booting from CD there is not grub, isn`t it?
