http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=537945 Summary: Input devices stop working after X loads Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 7 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bjohnson@blakeanthonyjohnson.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20090903 SUSE/3.5.2-2.1 Firefox/3.5.2 Running the factory M7. As soon as Xorg (GDM) loads, I lose control of my mouse and keyboard. I can't kill X, I can't switch terminals, etc. I know X is not frozen because I am unable to move the mouse or press any buttons even while I was watching Gnome applets load. I tried booting into runlevel 3, and rerunning SaX, but I proceed to lose the mouse and keyboard there too. If I press the power button on my machine a couple times, I can watch it shut down gracefully. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on computer. 2. Watch X load. Actual Results: Input devices are unusable. Expected Results: I should be able to use my mouse and keyboard. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
