http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=957858 Bug ID: 957858 Summary: Installation doesn't consider network logins Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: c_eric@sbcglobal.net QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- When trying to install OpenSuSE Leap 42.1, as was the case with 13.2, if I have a centralized authentication scheme (i.e. LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, or anything else) then the default installation no longer offers an option to authenticate against such methods. In prior versions of OpenSuSE there was `First Boot` where you could adjust your authentication services after the installation occurred. This way, if you left new user prompt blank then you could make your changes. Now, I have to install sssd (and additional modules), edit pam files, and create sssd.conf. This seems to be a waste of time, especially if you just want to do one installation, create an autoYaST.xml from it and then distribute across the network. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
