Excuse me, are you saying that because there just was an update shortly before
(namely 0.4.27-2.1.2) which caused this bug in the first place, there won't be
a speedy fix?
Matter-of-fact with the original vm-install package 0.4.26, one could properly
define a VM, whereas currently, this is not possible. Most people will not even
figure out why, much less find this bug or the corrected RPM.
Since I get the impression that defective updates are becoming more common in
the last time, I think there are only two possibilities:
Either the updates are tested as thoroughly as the original packages so that
such problems do not arise, or updates are brought out more often, but if
problems are detected, they are either withdrawn or corrected.
To correct a bug and hold the update back means going only half the way. For
most people, this effectively means the bug is not "fixed" - their up-to-date
OpenSUSE 11.3 systems simply do not work correctly.
