--- Comment #12 from Thomas Renninger
I will rebuild a new kernel while no controller drivers except SATA driver, should it help us to figure out what is wrong if I rebuild a new kernel on OpenSUSE10.3 with the OpenSUSE10.2 kernel source code? IMO it is worth to start a bisect. Get the latest torvalds kernel via git clone. Use the SUSE .config to build the kernels and mark the 2.6.16 good and 2.6.22 bad. git bisect should lead you to the offending patch then which broke it.
Pavel: I wonder whether the video posting is not working here anymore? Can this be debugged without suspending? This would also be a case were ohci1394_dma=resume (or similar) would make sense. The firewire port should get enabled at very early resume time to be able to read out kernel log buffer as soon as possible. Hmm, ok in this case even ssh is still working afterwards, but if the machine would hang at early resume time, this would be helpful for debugging..., maybe Pavel could give us a hint in which function Bernhard could add a hook to enable the firewire controller very early... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
